interview experience in amdocs(fresher)

This was not my first interview in mnc. I have given many before this. So it was the beautiful morning and infact little bit nervousness on me. I was prepared for that. As i was fresher so i had to appear many rounds to get job in amdocs. It was one of the my dream company. I really put efforts , read linux, c, data structure and sql. When i reached there i made some revision. I asked for interview from the receptionist. She guided me that you have to go next..... for tech round. I had given amcat test which was aptitude test.

I went to the same room. Interviewer came, i greeted him, good after noon. He allowed me to sit with warm. Now questions asked is

Tell me about Yourself ?
Blah.......

Why do you want to join Amdocs ?
Blah....

What r you doing during these 6 months ? (actually i was jobless at that point of time till now 8 months)
Make your points smartly. Don't share your weaknesses.

Ok, Which language u r most comfortable ?
Java, C, C++.

Ok, Write a c program to count no. of spaces in a string ?
Very easy, take a pointer and then count.

I used cout,cin so he told program is correct bt you did in c. I said sorry.

He asked me What do you know about Linux?
I explained all commands with options as linux is my favorite os. He was very impressed that moment.

Then he asked me a simple sql query ?
I answered it very comfortably.

Interview completed  almost half an hour.

After tech interview we were waiting for the results. Results announced at 6'0 clock. Almost after 6 hours. I was happy becoz only 2 guys out of 25 cleared tech interview.


Now turns comes for the Hr interview

First of all, it is blood sucker for me. I have been suffering becoz of this. So be prepare for Hr also. I have many interviews infosys, cognizant, newgen, lucid ... failed to clear Hr.

She asked me tell me about yourself ?
Waht you do right now?
Explain favorite movie?
didn't able to answer
About company?
Give a debate about 2 mins on any topic or i will provide to you?
Somehow manage to give

Finally she said you can leave for the day, we will touch with you. Suprising, those students who didn't clear tech round called again for interview. Some of them working amdocs. Why not us?

It was really disappointed to me and my friends. Hope for gud job in future.
